Time Machine

If you had a time machine and could travel in time, where would you go? Why?

If I had a time machine, I would travel back in time to the Elizabethan period. This is my favorite time because everything was very exciting and there were so many rules. I would love to live in that period and be very high up in the social status. I love all the very elaborate dresses the women wore and the beautiful jewlery. I would dress up so nice everyday and get to wear beautiful hats to match my dresses. Everything from that period in time interests me. I think it would also be very scary because there were so many rules and back then, they could chop your head off at any time for any reason they wanted to. It would be very thrilling and exciting to experience all the historical events that occured in that time period. I would love to return home then after about five years and being all the stuff I could back with me and tell everyone here what it was like.

Your Imagination

"Your Imagination is your preview of life's coming attractions." -Albert Einstein-

This quote by Albert Einstein means that your imagination is the doorway to your life. If you do not have any imagination or dreams then you will have nothing to look forward to in life. Your imagination helps create the exciting things that happen in your life. You imagine what exciting things could happen and what exciting things you want to happen in your life. If you do not think ahead and create an situations of things you would like to happen in your life then these things will never come true. You will not have anything to look forward to or any "goals" to make happen. Your imagination sets the standard for your life. Many people imagine what they want their life to be like and what they want it to consist of. By doing this, you create something to look forward to in your life. You hope that these imaginations will come true, and if you try hard enough they usually will. All you have to do is set your mind to it. Always imagine the impossible and dream big because enexpectedly it could come true.

Peer Review

I thought the peer review activity was very helpful. I was very unsure how to write this paper, I didn't know what I should include or if it should be from my opinion. The feed back from my peers was somewhat helpful but I found reading my classmates papers to be the most helpful. It showed me what I did wrong in my paper, what I left out, and how my paper should be. I was very unsure what to unclude in this paper and reading my classmates papers helped me figure that out. I think this activity is very helpful.

What I liked most about it was reading my classmates papers. I thought that was the most helpful even though sometimes I think this is stupid but in the end it really helps me out. The thing I hated most was trying to figure out what to tell my classmates about their papers and what they should change, I thought all of their papers were good.

The most useful feedback I got was to not use present tense, that is one of the hardest things for me. I can never figure out when i'm using it and when I am not. I need to work on noticing what it present and past tense.

I am going to change my paper a lot. I now know that I need to include the author Dorothy Cohen in my paper and give her credit for her "Elements of an Effevtive Layout," I was very unsure whether I include that in my paper or leave it out. I need to change my paper from being all from my point of view to more of the facts from the thoery I chose. I learned a lot that needs to be changed, I plan on going to the writing center for help because I am really confused on what is suppose to be included in this paper.

How People Learn

"Most people learn by observation and there are the few who learn by experimentation. And then where are those who actually TOUCH the fire to see if its really hot." -- Anonymous

The quote above is saying how people learn, it is saying that most of the people in the world learn by observing. They stand back and watch, take everything in, and that is how they learn. These people do not get too involved. Then it is saying that there are a few people who learn by experimentation which isn't common becuase most people just stand back and observe. These types of people like to get there hands dirty and try new things out, they like to experiment to learn new things and find things out on there own. Then saying there are those who actually touch the fire to see if its really hot. These people like to get so close and do so many things on there own. They need to expereience everything for themselves and are more curious than many people. They don't have boundaries or limits and will go to any length to achieve what they need.
